Senior Unreal Programmer
Overview:
We’re looking for a Senior Unreal Programmer to help implement technical aspects of our game designs and help make the game run at a good framerate. They will have a significant role in important aspects of the core running of the game but will also be responsible for evangelising systems and implementation techniques within the team. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in the games industry with a penchant for optimization and a love for applying their skills in a relatively small
team where they can really make a difference.
This is a one-year contract with a chance to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
Translating game designs into Unreal game systems
Frequent communications with other teams to discuss their views and needs
Analysing of cpu, gpu, and memory usage and optimising (graphical) bottlenecks
Defining pipelines that generate an optimal balance between performance and visuals
(in cooperation with the content creation teams)Support and consultancy towards the other members of the technical team
Requirements:
At least 8 years of experience in the games industry
At least 4 years of experience with Unreal
Proven experience with game optimization
Experience in both pc and console development
Familiarity with modern Unreal techniques such as Nanite
Experience with online multiplayer development is a plus
A professional and result-driven attitude
Great deduction skills and a service-oriented mindset
A broad interest and drive to take on any aspect of the game code that needs work
Good communication skills in English (both oral and written)
