Senior Unreal Programmer

Overview:

We’re looking for a Senior Unreal Programmer to help implement technical aspects of our game designs and help make the game run at a good framerate. They will have a significant role in important aspects of the core running of the game but will also be responsible for evangelising systems and implementation techniques within the team. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in the games industry with a penchant for optimization and a love for applying their skills in a relatively small
team where they can really make a difference.

This is a one-year contract with a chance to become permanent.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Translating game designs into Unreal game systems

  • Frequent communications with other teams to discuss their views and needs

  • Analysing of cpu, gpu, and memory usage and optimising (graphical) bottlenecks

  • Defining pipelines that generate an optimal balance between performance and visuals
    (in cooperation with the content creation teams)

  • Support and consultancy towards the other members of the technical team

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience in the games industry

  • At least 4 years of experience with Unreal

  • Proven experience with game optimization

  • Experience in both pc and console development

  • Familiarity with modern Unreal techniques such as Nanite

  • Experience with online multiplayer development is a plus

  • A professional and result-driven attitude

  • Great deduction skills and a service-oriented mindset

  • A broad interest and drive to take on any aspect of the game code that needs work

  • Good communication skills in English (both oral and written)
