Network/Online Programmer

Overview:

We are looking for a developer to join our exciting new studio that specialises in narrative games. The role’s primary function is to help implement both local and online networking functionality as well as online telemetry. The ideal candidate loves working on a unique game and enjoys figuring out new and creative ways to implement multiplayer technology.

This position is for an initial period of 12 months.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • The design and implementation of the network side of our game

  • Building a system that is both scalable and low latency

  • Building a system that is both reliable and secure and meets platform requirements

  • Building a system that can work across different platforms

  • Integrating of an online telemetry system

Requirements:

  • A proven track record in network/multiplayer programming

  • Experience in console and/or mobile gaming

  • Experience in multi-platform development

  • A good working knowledge of the pros and cons of different networking techniques

  • Experience with development in Unity is a plus

  • Experience in both client and server-side development is a plus

  • A professional and result-driven attitude

XBOX Console Developer

Overview:

We are looking for a developer to join our exciting new studio that specialises in narrative games. The role’s primary function is to help bring our game to release on the various XBOX platforms. The ideal candidate loves working on a unique game and enjoys making the most of platform integration and compliance.

This position is for an initial period of 12 months.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrating current and future XBOX platform features into the game

  • Making sure the game complies with all XBOX platform requirements

  • Making XBOX platform specific optimizations to the game

Requirements:

  • Experience in XBOX development

  • A good working knowledge of the XBOX ecosystem

  • A good working knowledge of the current requirements for release on XBOX

  • Experience in multi-platform development is a plus

Graphics/Optimization Programmer

Overview:

We are looking for a developer to join our exciting new studio that specialises in narrative games. The role’s primary function is to help bring out the best of our game on a range of system specifications both on pc and console. The ideal candidate loves working on a unique game and enjoys figuring out how to get the best possible results within the technical limitations of various system specifications.

  • Optimization of cpu, gpu, and memory usage

ART VACANCIES

Senior Environment Artist

­The Role

Interior Night is an exciting new studio comprised of ex Quantic Dreams and Sony creatives. We require a Senior environment artist to work with the Art Director, Cinematics Director and Internal 3D team to produce environments and props for a story-based game.

Duties:

·         Create and design 3D environment and prop models.

·         Implement 3D assets in Unity.

·         Work with Art Director and Tech Art team to push the envelope for visual quality.

·         Experience with creating natural and man-made surfaces to a high quality.

·         Mentor and progress Junior artists.

·         Input into scheduling and planning.

·         Outsource feedback if required.

Experience and requirements:

·         Strong eye for soft and hard bodied 3D surfaces.

·         Strong model baking & texturing skills

·         Optimisation of assets (LODs, texture reads etc).

·         Creative and pragmatic.

·         Understanding of how to get great results in real-time engines.

·         Degree in relevant field and/or equivalent professional experience.

·         Motivated, enthusiastic, team player.

·         Published titles (Indie or AAA).

·         Console and/or PC development experience.

Required software knowledge:

·         Maya (or similar package).

·         Substance painter.

VFX Artist

The Role

Interior Night is an exciting new studio comprised of ex Quantic Dreams and Sony creatives. We require a VFX artist to work with the Art Director and Cinematics Director to produce all kinds of visual effects for a story-based game. We offer the opportunity to work with Houdini for some set piece work, and someone who has enthusiasm and expertise in this area would be of great interest.

Duties

·         Create and design environment and prop based in-game effects

·         Implement all effects in the game engine (Unity)

·         Work with Art Director and Tech Art team to create in-game VFX

·         Experience with simulating high quality VFX and adapting that work into a real-time approach

Experience and requirements

·         Strong eye for colour and real-world elements

·         Creative and practical

·         Understanding of how to get great results in real-time engines

·         Degree in relevant field or equivalent professional experience

·         Motivated, enthusiastic, team player

·         Ability with higher end simulation techniques as well as texture sheet creation for sprites (particles)

Nice to haves

·         Unity experience

CINEMATIC VACANCIES

CINEMATIC ARTISTs

We are looking for a candidate to join an exciting new studio that specialises in narrative games. The role’s primary function is to work with the Cinematics director and other cinematic artists to create a strong visual language in the game through the implementation of cameras and lighting. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to tell stories that matter and implement them from the heart to a high technical standard. 

Duties:

·         Working with the Cinematics director to creating strong cinematic sequences that resonate emotionally with an audience

·         Directing, editing and refining the narrative within the game engine.

·         Maintaining consistent quality, style and continuity, both visually and technically throughout the project.

·         Plan and Implement Character Blocking and cameras within Unity

·         Address bugs as assigned in reviews.

·         Collaborate with other cinematics artists to meet deadlines together

·         Communicate progress within the pipeline provided

Experience and requirements:

·         Knowledge of Unity and Unity Timeline

  • Animation skills a real plus

·         Strong critical reasoning and emotional awareness within storytelling is essential.

·         Strong understanding of cinematography, lighting, with a keen eye for composition.

DESIGN AND WRITING VACANCIES

INTERACTIVE WRITER

We are looking for a part-time game writer to join our seasoned and talented creative team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Write interactive scenes in a modified screenplay format, based on existing outlines.

  • Create realistic characters, subtle emotionality, and idiosyncratic dialogue.

  • Deliver a compelling, HBO-level dramatic experience across multiple branches of a given scene.

  • Iterate closely with lead writer and creative director across multiple time zones.

  • Provide constructive feedback on other writers’ work.

  • Participate in intensive “writer’s rooms” to break story on future episodes.

  • Help manage story and dialogue fixes for episodes currently in production.

  • Assist with casting sheets, story bibles, and ongoing creative tasks.

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years writing for games at the console/PC level. (Narrative games preferred.)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience writing for television or film. (Drama strongly preferred.)

  • Familiarity with narrative design. While this is not a design position, an understanding of narrative design is essential to the interactive writing process.

  • An emotional range that can cover a wide variety of mature characters and situations.

  • Ability to take and implement notes from leads, and to resolve conflicting notes when necessary.

  • Highly organized, able to meet deadlines, and manage complex scripts without supervision.

  • Enthusiastic, a quick learner, and a unique perspective on life. Why do you write for games?

We are looking for a fantastic Producer to join our enthusiastic and talented team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Uphold creative vision and quality of the project

  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement and development

  • Working with the development team on the day to day running

  • Project lifecycle management and tracking: milestones, sprint and tasks

  • Help to define production processes and team workflows

Overview:

We are looking for a candidate to provide IT support for our exciting new studio that specialises in narrative games. The role’s primary function is to make sure the studio hardware, software, and network runs smoothly. The ideal candidate loves the dynamic environment of a game studio and has the initiative to independently resolve and pre-empt problems.

This position is initially for 2 days a week, but that could evolve based on need (in mutual agreement).
